"X-Men: First Class" Ousts "Hangover 2" for Box Office Win

Hitting theaters with high expectations, "X-Men: First Class" mustered a strong enough first few days of release to garner the top spot at the box office over the weekend of June 3-5, 2011.
The James McAvoy/January Jones spearheaded superhero caper pulled in $23 million on Friday while raking in an estimated $54 million on opening weekend.
Trailing close behind was the Bradley Cooper/Ed Helms/Zach Galifianakis driven blockbuster sequel "The Hangover 2" - which earned $33.5 million during its second week of release.
Rounding out the top five at the box office were "Kung Fu Panda 2 3D" ($25 million), "Pirates Of The Caribbean 4 3D" ($19 million) and "Bridesmaids" ($12.5 million).
