Will, Kate watch pop concert

After a day of pomp and circumstance, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, appeared to relax a bit as they attended a pop concert Friday night in Ottawa, Canada.

The royal couple also got to see the Parliament Hill event conclude with a fireworks show. The festivities were part of Canada Day celebrations and featured national music acts, including Sam Roberts and Great Big Sea.

William and Kate weren't alone. They joined more than 300,000 others gathered at the event. Kate wore a purple dress from Issa, according to media reports. The Prince loosened up for the evening and didn't wear a tie.

The concert took place on what would have been William's mother's birthday. Princess Diana, who died in a Paris car crash in 1997, would have been 50 on Friday.
