Julie Taymor allegedly hasn't been paid anything since first starting work on 'Spider-Man.'The producers of "Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark" are about to feel Julie Taymor's sting.
Next week, Taymor's union, the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, plans to file an arbitration action against the show because, it claims, Taymor is owed hundreds of thousands of dollars for her work.
"She was paid $125,000 five years ago as a fee, says the union's executive director Laura Penn. "She hasn't been paid anything since."
After nine years of work, Taymor was essentially sacrificed in March when producers sought to re-launch the bedeviled show.
"I think people assume that if it's an $85-million musical, Julie walked away with a lot of money," Penn says. "In fact, she hasn't walked away with anything."
