Sean Kingston is breathing unaided and today (06.06.11) walked for the first time following an accident where he drove his jet-ski into the Palm Island Bridge in Miami, Florida.

Sean Kingston is "breathing on his own" after being hospitalised following a jet-ski accident last week.

The 'Beautiful Girls' singer is no longer breathing through a tube and also walked for the first time today (06.06.11) since he ploughed into the Palm Island Bridge in Miami, Florida, leading him to be admitted to the Jackson Memorial Hospital with a broken jaw, fractured wrist and water in his lungs.

A representative for Sean said: "Sean is breathing on his own and walked for the first time this morning. Sean Kingston continues to be hospitalised at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. His condition has been upgraded to serious.

Sean thanks his friends, family and fans for their outpouring of prayers and well wishes.

Celebrity fans of Sean - real name Kisean Anderson - have been tweeting their support for the 21-year-old during his hospitalisation.

Rihanna wrote: "Sean we praying for u baby.(sic)"

Justin Bieber, who collaborated with Sean on his track 'Eenie Meenie', added yesterday (30.05.11): "Got my friend Sean Kingston in my prayers tonight. A true friend and big bro. Please keep him in your prayers tonight as well. (sic)"
