Ashton Kutcher to replace Charlie Sheen on 'Two and a Half Men': report

Charlie Sheen, who was dropped from the show for erratic behavior will be replaced by Kutcher.

Charlie Sheen, who was dropped from the show for erratic behavior will be replaced by Kutcher.

Sorry, Charlie - it's Ashton Kutcher who's winning.

The 31-year-old star of "That 70s Show" is close to sealing a big bucks deal to replace Charlie Sheen in "Two and a Half Men," hollywoodreporter.com said Thursday.

CBS, studio Warner Bros. and Kutcher's reps declined to comment but two insiders said a deal is all but signed.

How much Kutcher will get paid to star in TV's No.1 comedy isn't known yet but one of the sources said he's getting a "huge payday," the web site reported.

Hugh Grant reportedly was offered $1 million an episode to step into Sheen's shoes.

When Grant passed, a deal was quickly hammered out with Kutcher, the Twitter-happy husband of Demi Moore.

Sources say "Men" creator Chuck Lorre has crafted a storyline to introduce Kutcher in a way that satisfies the network and studio.

"It's really funny," says one source. "People are going to love it."

This would be the first regular series gig for Kutcher, who has been concentrating on his movie career, since "That 70s Show."

He also executive produced the hit MTV hidden-camera series "Punk'd," among others.

Not only does Kutcher bring a young fan base to the CBS show, but also his 6.7 Twitter followers, a huge promotional boost for the show.

Kutcher isn't commenting, other than a remark on Twitter.

"I'm starting to become convinced that people put my name in articles just to improve their SEO (search engine optimization) or hoping I'll tweet it."

Later, he Tweeted, "What's the square root of 6.25" - which is, of course, 2.5."

Sheen's camp also got involved in the Tweeting.

Rob Patterson, the guitarist who accompanied Sheen on his "Violent Torpedo of Truth" tour after he was dumped from the show, said Kutcher's wrong for the role.

"i don't see (Kutcher) replacing (Sheen). show is based around Charlie's life. Not a dude married to a chick 20 years older then him," Patterson said.

Pettyfer to star in film based on Tatum's life

Pettyfer to star in film based on Tatum's life

This is kind of weird, even by Hollywood standards. British newcomer Alex Pettyfer (I Am Number Four), right, has been cast in a quasi-biopic based on the life of fellow actor Channing Tatum (G.I. Joe), below.

Yeah, seriously.

The role calls for Pettyfer to relive Tatum's days as an 18-year-old stripper when he was earning extra cash while trying to break into acting. Even weirder: Magic Mike will also star Tatum as an older stripper who mentors Pettyfer's character, who is based on Tatum.

Whoa.

The Steven Soderbergh-directed comedy could be a surprise smash -- or it could just turn into a meta mess. Tatum will also serve as a producer on the film.

Increasing the Pipeline of Women Angel Investors

This is a guest post by 85broads at ForbesWoman.

The Pipeline Fund Fellowship (PFF) recently hosted an all-day conference to educate, train and empower women on how to become angel investors. Founded by 85 Broad member Natalia Oberti Noguera, PFF?s mission is to diversify the investor pool and connect women social entrepreneurs with investors. (See ForbesWoman?s December 2010 Q!&A with Oberti Noguera here.)

PFF was launched to address the lack of gender diversity in the venture capital investment world and the lack of funding for profit-seeking social ventures. The PFF trains women to become savvy investors while focusing on the triple bottom line ? people, planet, and profits.

According to Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation?s 2006 report, of the estimated 225,000 active angels who invested $23.1 billion in 50,000 deals, no more than 8% were female. Women are under-represented in the investor pool.

Kelly Hoey, an investor, and Erica Frontiero, a senior vice president at GE Capital Markets, two Pipeline Fund fellows, shared their experiences as new investors at the conference. As seen through the eyes of these two women, it is evident that there will be a shift in the investment landscape in the next few years.

As more women become trained on how to invest and in whom to invest, it will be interesting to observe the success rate of companies that have women investors and board members vs those that do not.

HuffPost TV: HuffPost's Roy Sekoff Talks About Newt Gingrich's Martial History On 'The Joy Behar Show' (VIDEO)

HuffPost's Roy Sekoff appeared Thursday night on HLN's 'The Joy Behar Show' to discuss Newt Gingrich's marital history.

Sekoff stated of Gingrich's past, "it's the old saying: it's not the cheat, it's the hypocrisy. Right, I mean that's the thing. It's the entirety of what he did. It's not just, oh that he had an affair, it's that he cheated on the first wife when she had cancer, and he left her and told her he wanted a divorce when she was in the hospital after one of her surgeries. And he broke up with the second wife on Mother's Day."

Sekoff also said that focusing on these marital problems might even be a good thing for Gingrich because "it takes the focus off of all the other sleazy and problematic things that he's done before."

The subject of Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels' marital past also came up in the conversation. Sekoff explained, "for him [Daniels], this is the most interesting thing you can say about Mitch Daniels. This is good for him. Otherwise you'd be talking about his days at the OMB."

Wolf Creek menu has a Factory feel to it: Two and a half stars

Wolf Creek Restaurant & Brewing Company is located at 26787 Agoura Road in Calabasas. (Hans Gutknecht/Staff Photographer)

T

he Wolf Creek Restaurant & Brewing Company in a quiet area of Calabasas is like finding a needle in a haystack. At one end of a new, still partially vacant shopping center, it features a menu ever-so slightly reminiscent of The Cheesecake Factory, but pared down and with different tweaks and twists. Not as surprising is that the husband-wife team, Laina and Rob McFerren, founders/owners/operators, worked there several years ago before venturing out on their own.

The guacamole and brie crostini ($8.50) appetizer reminded of a favorite formerly served at The Cheesecake Factory, and no doubt that was the inspiration. Diagonal bread slices spread with guacamaole came topped with melted brie slices (rind on) and sprinkled with a few julienne strips of sun-dried tomatoes. Arranged spoke fashion with a creamy light orangish-colored chipotle aioli plopped in the center of the plate, the sauce turned out to be really superfluous as the wonderful avocado-brie combination didn't need any embellishment. The crostini looked a tad messy - the brie didn't seem to be melted enough and it would have been more appealing without the rind.

A basket of warm sourdough baguette bread slices arrived with a little crock of creamy olive spread shortly after we were seated. While the restaurant refers to it as a tapenade,

that's a stretch. Although it had an unattractive grayish-pink cast, the mixture of mayo, kalamata olives and seasonings tasted delicious.

Because we arrived near the end of happy hour, the two pizzas ordered - sundried tomato pesto and Mediterranean - were $6.50 each (a good bet for gourmet pizzas). They were 8-inch diameter as opposed to the standard 9- or 10-inch ones ($10.95 - $11.50) on the regular menu, but the toppings were as noted on the menu. The Mediterranean garnered the best marks as it was colorful and had terrific flavors woven together - kalamata olive pieces, melted mozzarella cheese, whole spinach leaves, fresh tomato slices, artichoke hearts, finely chopped onions and goat cheese crumbles.

The sun-dried tomato concoction seemed lackluster by comparison, with its layers of sun-dried tomato pesto and melted cheese topped with fresh tomato slices, more cheese, pine nuts, thin basil shreds and scant diced chicken pieces.

The thin crust sweet tasting pizza dough used for both wasn't to our taste but other diners seem to like it and thought it complemented the savory toppings well. Also, the crust was not crisp as we would have preferred; it seemed a bit doughy. But the pizzas were definitely edible and nice-looking.

In the salad realm, a Miami shrimp creation ($13.95) made an excellent main course choice. Although it sounded a bit offbeat - with canned mandarin oranges, chopped tomatoes, red onion pieces and sliced fresh mushrooms, the flavor profile worked beautifully with assorted greens and radicchio. The orange segments really kicked it up a notch. Instead of the Ginger Citrus Vinaigrette it's routinely dressed with (which wasn't overloaded with ginger flavor by the way), we opted for balsamic vinaigrette - and it was excellent, blending well. The sauteed medium-large shrimp (several pieces), were plentiful, tender and succulent, rounding out the pleasing combination. | Click here to see more photos.

A side of sweet potato fries ($5.95), delivered piping hot, crisp and sprinkled with kosher salt in a paper lunch sack, was terrific. Accompanied with chipotle ketchup and a house-made blue cheese dressing for dipping, they were down-right addictive, both plain and dipped, and hard to stop nibbling on.

Chicken mattone ($14.95) offers a satisfying and somewhat novel entree option. An airline chicken breast (boneless chicken breast with the first wing joint, the drummette, attached), seasoned with garlic, rosemary, oregano and sage, had been cooked on a flat grill weighted down with a heavy skillet to flatten and sear the exterior. It arrived plated with grilled vegetable pieces - zucchini, red and green peppers, red onions, yellow squash - and a jumbo mushroom along with a pile of garlic mashed potatoes containing bits of red potato skins. The chicken, moist and flavorful, was good (didn't care for the skin on it), but not exciting.

Save room for dessert. Made in-house, the pastry person seems to have the knack of making wow factor sweets. The piece de resistance this night was a slice of coconut cream pie ($6.25). Sinfully rich and not overly sweet, it was a winner with two thick layers - one of pastry cream strewn with coconut, the other of whipped cream. Fabulous. Also terrific is the yummy chocolate layer cake ($6.25) that's moist and indulgent.

At its best: Casual, comfortable spot with a firepit, patio and large, varied menu that should appeal to diners of all ages whether eating light or hearty. Many dishes, featuring fresh ingredients, have good flavor and texture and are presented attractively. Portions are large. The house-made desserts shine; both the coconut cream pie and chocolate cake were excellent.

Could be better: Service is sporadic and sloppy at times. Server was personable but could have been more attentive (she was tending bar and waiting tables). Lapses in timing, too (a more than 10-minute wait from the time the entrees were finished until anyone returned to the table to check on diners). Some of the food items could use tweaking for better color and/or presentation (i.e. creamy olive spread, guacamole and brie crostini). Pizza dough could be less sweet and baked crisp on the bottom.

Heidi Montag - who famously underwent 10 cosmetic surgery procedures in one day - has admitted she would consider going under the knife again in future.

Heidi Montag hasn't ruled out more cosmetic surgery in future.

The 24-year-old reality TV star - who famously underwent 10 appearance-altering procedures in one day in November 2009 - insists she currently has no plans to go under the knife again but won't rule out having more treatments as she gets older.

She said: "For this moment, I don't want anything to do with plastic surgery. Obviously when I get a little older, I'll take it from there."

For this moment, I don't want anything to do with plastic surgery. Obviously when I get a little older, I'll take it from there.

The blonde beauty - who is married to Spencer Pratt - has taken a break from the spotlight in recent months and has vowed to retain a level of privacy in future.

She said: "From now on, I'm going to keep my life a little more private. I think I was just doing 'The Hills' for so long and I just needed a break from Hollywood. Plus, I enjoy my privacy.

"I needed a break after such a crazy six years of my life. And from being in Hollywood, I've been with my puppies and my husband. It's low-key."

However, Heidi is set to return to the spotlight as one of seven celebrities competing on 'Reality Food', a new TV show which sees the famous faces - including 'The Bachelor' star Jake Pavelka and Danielle Staub from 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' - compete to win a stake in a new restaurant by undergoing a series of tasks involving the eatery.

Speaking about the new show, Heidi said: "These people are a little bit older than me, so it's different. It's been pretty crazy. It's definitely different than 'The Hills'."

Bethenny Frankel: 'I'm Not Going to Be Bullied'

Bethenny Frankel may have been looking forward to laying low after an emotional, intense season on Bethenny Ever After, but the drama continues.

After reportedly selling her Skinnygirl cocktail brand for $120 million, the reality star was sued this week by her ex-mangers for a share of the deal, plus $100 million in punitive damages, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Life is good for me with all the things that are most important, namely family," Frankel told PEOPLE Thursday. "But let's be clear, I am a strong woman, and I am not afraid and won't back down when I'm bullied by something with zero merit. Success is earned by hard work, not taking advantage of others."

In another statement released Thursday, Frankel said, "Unfortunately, one of the signs of success is being the subject of frivolous lawsuits, like this one."

According to the complaint filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Raw Talent's co-president Doug Wald alleges he signed Frankel as a client in 2008, introduced her to the liquor industry exec who helped her sell her brand, and was fired days before she signed her deal to sell Skinnygirl.

"This is simply someone with his hand out, who did nothing to earn it, and I am not going to be bullied," Frankel added in her statement. "We are exploring all of our options, including filing counterclaims against these people."
