Ashton Kutcher Defends Sarah Palin's Privacy

Heading to the shore for a workday in the sun, Ashton Kutcher was spotted doing a photo shoot for Brazilian fashion line, Colcci, on Panema Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil earlier today (June 14).

While modeling in the beautiful locale, the 33-year-old "Two and a Half Men" sported a in a gray fedora, green and blue plaid shirt, and khaki pants.

In related news, Ashton and wife Demi Moore have seemingly come to the defense of former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin after nearly 25,000 of her personal e-mails were disclosed to different media and publishing outlets.

Taking to social media to show their disgust, Kutcher tweeted, "As much as I'm not a fan of Sarah Palin, I find sifting through her e-mails repulsive and overreaching," while Moore backed her hubby up by replying, "So agree!"

Lisa Kudrow Hosts Star-Studded Webby Awards Celebrating Internet Sensations

A-list celebrities and Internet personalities alike came together for The 15th Annual Webby Awards last night in New York City, hosted by Lisa Kudrow.

In attendance were stars such as Brooke Shields, John MayerJustin Bieber, and Daniel Radcliffe, while musicians Norah Jones, Antoine Dobson, and The Gregory Brothers performed later in the night.

According to Fox News, The Webbys have been called the ?Oscars of the Internet,? and celebrate the online success of ?websites, interactive advertising & media, online film & video, and mobile & apps.?

PHOTOS: Want More Awards Shows? Check Out The 2011 Tony Awards

Kudrow?s sense of humor kept the event interesting, along with the fact that all the acceptance speeches were asked to be kept to five words or less, a challenge that led to both creative and peculiar results. Though to help winners who wanted a ?little more time in the spotlight,? Kudrow jokingly recommended the five longest words in the English language.

Notable winners (and their speeches) included Adrian Grenier for his environmental lifestyle website, Shift, who said ?The shifts hit the fan,? and Dan Savage of the ?It Gets Better? project who proclaimed ?Tracy Morgan can suck my? .?

Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, who accepted the People?s Voice award in the fashion category announced ?Sometimes, geeks can be chic,? while Groupon CEO Andrew Mason revealed ?It?s short for group coupon.?

Not everyone played by the five word rules, including one of the night?s biggest winners, the creators of Funny or Die, Chris Henchy, Adam McKay and the virtually-present Will Ferrell, who delivered a haiku too far over the syllable limit to count. Even Kudrow herself, who won for her ?Web Therapy? series, couldn?t restrain her verbosity.

Needless to say, we?re already waiting for our invitation to next year?s Webbys and brainstorming ideas for our acceptance speech! We plan on breaking rules.

Did you watch the Webbys? Were there any websites or Internet stars you felt wrongly went unrecognized (hint, hint)? Let us know what you think by commenting on our Facebook or tweeting to us at @Socialitelife.

Blake Lively Drops By ?Today?

Stepping out to promote her new movie ?The Green Lantern,? Blake Lively was spotted at the ?Today? show studios this morning (June 14).

The ?Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants? hottie chatted about what sets her flick apart from the plethora of comic book films.

?This is a fun comic because we acknowledge all the things that in other movies they don?t. Having somebody like Ryan, hard pressed to find somebody more witty and charming and funy than him. We use that. I don?t know. I think it?s special.?

Blake also shared her thoughts on the propensity for rumors and gossip in Tinseltown. ?You know getting into this business what comes into it. You do it for the art, you know, for the wonderful work that we get to do. And otherwise, you keep your head down, you keep to yourself, you know. I have such a great family and friends and they?re my support system.?

?Glee? Darren Criss Pulled Off Stage By Ecstatic Fan At Washington Show

Glee star Darren Criss was pulled off stage by a female fan during the show?s summer tour stop in the Nation?s Capitol on Thursday.

The 24-year-old heartthrob, who plays superhunk Blaine on the Emmy-winning FOX musical-comedy, was performing the show?s hit song ?Somebody to Love? when he kneeled down to shake hands with fans only to be dragged into the audience by a woman in the front row. A super-shaky video filmed by a concert attendee named ?Stephstratos? shows the unidentified fan taking full advantage of the moment (And who can blame her, really?) as she pulls Darren headfirst into the crowd.

?I?m lucky I didn?t hit my head on the gate in front of this lady,? Darren posted on Twitter. ?Seriously close call tonight.?

Darren quickly regained his footing and returned to the stage to perform the rest of the track, but he later joked that his fans should be more considerate.

?To the lady who pulled me off the stage tonight,? Darren Tweeted. ?If I ever see you on a stage, keep your wits about ya.?

Obama on Weiner: 'If it was me, I would resign'

Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., is questioned by the media near his home in the Queens borough of New York, Saturday, June 11, 2011. The 46-year-old congressman acknowledged Friday that he had online contact with a 17-year-old girl from Delaware but said there was nothing inappropriate. (AP Photo/David Karp)

In this image released by NBC News Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., the head of the Democratic National Committee, appears on NBC's "Meet the Press" in Washington Sunday, June 12, 2011. Speaking of Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., Wasserman Schultz said she and other Democratic leaders "have made clear that he needs to resign." She says that "at the end of the day a member of Congress makes their own decision." Weiner says he is seeking treatment but will not resign. (AP Photo/NBC, William B. Plowman) (William B. Plowman)

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama, increasing pressure on Rep. Anthony Weiner to quit, said Monday that "I can tell you that if it was me, I would resign." In a rare foray into a congressman's ethical conduct, Obama told NBC's "Today" show that Weiner's sexually charged photos and messages online to several women was "highly inappropriate."

"I think he's embarrassed himself. He's acknowledged that. He's embarrassed his wife and his family. Ultimately, there's gonna be a decision for him and is constituents. I can tell you that, if it was me, I would resign," the president said in an interview to air Tuesday morning.

Obama said public service "is exactly that, it's a service to the public. And when you get to the point where, because of various personal distractions, you can't serve as effectively as you need to at the time when people are worrying about jobs, and their mortgages, and paying the bills, then you should probably step back."

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has called for Weiner to quit, as have several other Democrats including party chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

The House Ethics Committee began a preliminary inquiry that could bloom into a full investigation if Weiner, a New York Democrat, ignores calls to resign.

House officials told The Associated Press that the ethics inquiry is not yet extensive, and committee leaders have not indicated whether they will order a more intensive staff investigation. The officials requested anonymity because the committee has not announced the staff inquiry.

If Weiner did resign, the committee would no longer have jurisdiction to investigate him. If he remained in Congress, Ethics Committee Chairman Jo Bonner of Alabama and ranking Democrat Linda Sanchez of California could name a four-member subcommittee to conduct a more thorough investigation. That could lead to an ethics trial.

The Ethics Committee is not designed as a quick-reaction force when a scandal erupts. An investigation could last months, even longer, if the case became legally complicated and Weiner decided to mount a full defense.

If the committee decides that a member violated the rules, its options include issuing a written rebuke, recommending the House vote to censure the lawmaker or recommending expelling the member by a two-thirds majority.

Congress returned to work Monday as Weiner began a temporary leave of absence from the House while seeking treatment for an undisclosed disorder at an undisclosed location. House members can ask officials for leaves of absence, which are routinely granted.

The Weiner scandal, heading into its third week, has been a huge embarrassment to Democrats, who are eager to put the controversy behind them.

Weiner is expected to be a dominant topic when House Democrats meet Tuesday morning. They could try to oust Weiner from the caucus or try to strip him of his committee assignment on the Energy and Commerce panels.

Weiner's vow to seek treatment and to work to repair his tattered reputation did little to ease the furor.

Republicans suggested that Pelosi was not tough enough on Weiner. Michael Steel, a press aide to House Speaker John Boehner, said in an email that Weiner's intention to seek a leave of absence "puts the focus" on Pelosi.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., who has called for Weiner to resign, said if Weiner does not leave, Democrats should consider taking away his committee assignments.
