Garrett Hedlund has already scored some unforgettable memories on the set of his Beat Generation flick "On the Road," but getting heartthrob tips from co-star Kristen Stewart's rumored flame Robert Pattinson is not among them.

MTV News caught up with the "Country Strong" actor on the Golden Globes red carpet Sunday (January 16), and while he admitted that they chopped it up when Pattinson popped by the "Road" set to visit his lady friend, he didn't score any gems on how to handle his budding screen-idol status.

"You're trying to milk me for great little things; I got nothing on it," Hedlund shrugged to MTV News' Josh Horowitz. "He'd come out to set a couple times and visit. It was great."

The "Tron Legacy" actor had fun hanging out with the world's most famous onscreen vampire, but added that he sympathized with all the attention Pattinson has to grapple with constantly.

"People just sort of hassle him around too much," he said. "He's a good guy, real good guy, and he gets a lot of people following him around. It's not an easy thing."

Aside from seeing the effects of "Twilight" mania up close, Hedlund recently dished that filming "Road" had some trippy moments, including the last night of production when the actor spent time with 89-year-old Carolyn Cassady, the real-life inspiration for the book's character Camille.

"She was just so wonderful and so genuine to all of us and so happy to be there. At the end of the dinner, me and Sam Riley ... walked her hand in hand up to Vesuvio's, the bar where all these guys used to drink at. I remember the sole of her shoe had sort of come undone and started flapping, but I took off my boot and took off one of the socks and put it over the shoe so it intacted the sole. So we kept on walking," he said. "It's such an incredible, mind-blowing night."

Golden Globes Fashion: Justin Bieber, Natalie Portman Go Ultra Glam

Sleeves, sequins and hot guys rule Globes red carpet.

If the Golden Globes are the Oscars' more casual sister, nobody told Hollywood: Celebs went ultra glam at the show on Sunday (January 16). Sure, all the guys looked dapper in their suits, but a slew of young Hollywood's newest studs really turned up the fashion charm.

Justin Bieber looked like the perfect prom date in his D&G tuxedo with tie, vest and kicks. He completed the look with purple 3-D glasses, and his date for the night was "Never Say Never" director Jon Chu. Looking equally posh was Robert Pattinson in his sleek black Gucci suit. Shout-outs to Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Gosling, who looked perfectly dashing in their tuxes.

The ladies rocked the sequins. "Tron" actress Olivia Wilde dazzled in her sparkly, hoop-skirted gown by Marchesa, but her bed-head was a bit too casual for the look. Anne Hathaway went for full-on beading in her floor-length taupe gown by Armani. Meanwhile, Megan Fox, also in Armani Privé, was super feminine in her pale-pink ruched gown with thigh-high split.

Proving that baby bumps make for a perfectly cool red-carpet accessory, Natalie Portman looked sophisticated in her pink satin gown with red-rose detailing on the bust by Viktor & Rolf. Her "Black Swan" co-star Mila Kunis also wore color, opting for a one-shoulder, emerald-green Vera Wang gown with bow detailing on the shoulder.

Budding fashionista Lea Michele rocked a pink, ruched and bowed one-shoulder dress by Oscar de la Renta. Nicole Kidman looked clean and fresh in her buttery one-shoulder column dress with bow around waist and beaded detailing.

Sleeves, both long and short, were also a big theme of the night. Angelina Jolie rocked them in her emerald-green (also a big trend) dress by Versace with a tuxedoed Brad Pitt by her side. Emma Stone wore a cap sleeve on her peach jersey dress by Calvin Klein collection, which was simple and sophisticated. Scarlett Johansson went for disco glamour in her pale-pink, cape-sleeve beaded gown.

Michael Jackson Doctor Conrad Murray Hid Evidence, Guard Testifies

Alberto Alvarez, Michael Jackson's bodyguard, leaves court after testifying at the preliminary hearing for Dr. Conrad Murray on January 5

The second day of testimony in the preliminary hearing of Michael Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray, featured damning testimony from one of the late King of Pop's bodyguards about Murray's actions in the critical minutes after the singer was found unresponsive.

After a former Jackson staffer testified Tuesday that Murray appeared to not know how to perform CPR properly, security guard Alberto Alvarez said on Wednesday (January 5) that the cardiologist frantically grabbed medical evidence from the star's bedroom before instructing Alvarez to call 911.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Alvarez said he was the first person to walk into Jackson's bedroom after Murray realized his patient was not breathing, where he found the cardiologist administering chest compressions with one hand while Jackson lay on his bed, which goes against the recommended procedure for the life-saving method.

"I said, 'Dr. Murray, what happened?' " Alvarez told the court. " 'He had a bad reaction, he had a bad reaction,' that's all he said." Alvarez choked up as he described how Jackson's daughter, Paris, followed him into the room and screamed when she saw her father sprawled out and unresponsive on the bed.

He said Murray then instructed him to get the children out of the room, noticing as he left that Jackson's penis was out of his underwear and that medical tubing was attached to it. When Deputy District Attorney David Walgren asked Alvarez if he knew what a condom catheter was, the security guard said he did not.

Alvarez said he then witnessed Murray grabbing a handful of bottles, which he instructed the security guard to put in a bag. He told the court that he held open the bag as the doctor dropped the bottles of medicine inside and then put it in a brown canvas bag on the floor, per Murray's instructions. Murray also allegedly told Alvarez to grab one of the two bags hanging on an IV stand next to Jackson's bed and put it in another bag. Alvarez said he noticed a "milk-like substance" in the bottom of the IV bag.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's office determined that Jackson died of an acute intoxication of propofol, a powerful surgical anesthetic sometimes referred to as "milk of amnesia" thanks to its milky white appearance. Only after the medical materials had been put away did Murray tell Alvarez to call 911.

"After you had collected the bottles per Dr. Murray's instructions, and after you had collected the bags per Dr. Murray's instructions, did Dr. Murray instruct you to call 911?" Walgren asked. "Yes, sir," Alvarez responded.

TMZ reported that during cross-examination, defense attorney Ed Chernoff got Alvarez to admit that he never told police about Murray ordering him to remove the bottles and Alvarez later admitted that he may try to sell his story.

Later in the day, EMT Richard Senniff testified that he arrived at the Jackson home, just four minutes after the 911 call was placed. According to TMZ, Senniff said that, based on the condition of Jackson's body, it appeared that Murray waited at least 20 minutes to call 911. Senniff also stated that when he asked Murray what meds Jackson had been administered, he only listed lorazepam (Ativan).

Jackson cook Kai Chase also testified, revealing the food she prepared for Jackson prior to his death (seared ahi tuna and salad, white bean Tuscan soup) and that she knew something was wrong when Murray came downstairs in a panic and summoned Jackson's son, Prince.

The preliminary hearing is aimed at determining whether there is enough evidence to try Murray on a felony count of involuntary manslaughter in the June 2009 death of the King of Pop. It is expected to last two to three weeks.

Beyonce Jokes She's Been Pregnant With Concert Special

Beyoncé never really seems to slow down, so when the time came to choose a director for her concert special DVD "I Am ... World Tour," the singer decided to take on those duties too. It's an accomplishment the singer jokes may have sparked those pregnancy rumors.

"I was pregnant with this DVD, yes!" she joked to MTV News.

The DVD hits stores on November 30, but fans can catch the 90-minute "I Am ... World Tour" TV special when it airs on ABC Thanksgiving night at 9:30 p.m. ET. Beyoncé opened up about what it was like to sit in the director's chair.

"Well, I've done some co-directing for music videos [but] this was definitely a big step for me, and I'm so thrilled," she said at the New York City screening for the flick.

Beyoncé said she was completely hands-on, deciding which moments made the final cut and which ones wound up on the cutting-room floor. "It was hard work," she said. "I learned so much. I have a new respect for directors and I think I would like to do more of it."

Her parents, Mathew and Tina Knowles, who also attended the screening over the weekend, said the film gives B the recognition she deserves after years of collaborating on many of her own videos.

"I'm really excited about this because Beyoncé has been making little short films and really helping to direct her videos," Tina told us. "So it's nice that she'll get credit for doing something that she really loves doing and that she's very talented at."

Dad Mathew recalled all of the effort his superstar daughter put into the special. "I'm so proud," he said. "I had an opportunity [to see the film], I've been to Houston with a screening; I've been to Bentonville, [Arkansas], with a screening, and to see the excitement from the audience, what an incredible job Beyoncé did as a director in the editing, I'm just so proud. Hopefully, all the fans go out and get the DVD and soundtrack and look at that ABC special coming on Thanksgiving."
