Vanessa Hudgens: In Shape, In Clothing

Unlike other photos that hit the Internet this week, Vanessa Hudgens is fully clothed on the cover of Shape this month. Or at least wearing a bikini.

Asked about her split with Zac Efron, the beautiful young actress doesn't sound bitter or spiteful. Just reflective and thankful.

"Long-distance relationships are hard no matter what... We grew up together. It was nice to have someone to share all those experiences with... The relationship kept me grounded and because I was with someone who knew me so well, I didn?t need to try to be someone that I?m not.?

Following a long-time obsession with Butterfinger ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery, Hudgens said she had to tone and bulk up for her latest film, Sucker Punch.

In the beginning I could dead lift 135 lbs," she said of training. "By the end, I lifted 180 lbs. I was a monster... Exercise is amazing from the inside out. I feel so alive and have more energy.?

And she looks darn good as a result. We can all see that on this magazine cover, and elsewhere.

Sean Penn's supermodel ex rejects plea deal in fistfight case

Jessica White has modeled for Sports Illustrated and Victoria's Secret.

Hermann for News

Jessica White has modeled for Sports Illustrated and Victoria's Secret.

Supermodel Jessica White was dressed for the catwalk on Tuesday when she rejected a plea deal in a catfight over a late-night taxi.

Her long hair cascading over a knee-length striped fur and leather coat, White posed silently as her lawyer promised to fight the misdemeanor assault case.

White - a fixture in the annual Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue with eight appearances - wasted no time strutting away from a proposal that would have guaranteed her no jail.

"We decline the offer," defense lawyer Mark Heller told Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Marc Whiten. "We will be ready to proceed to trial."

Heller and the Naomi Campbell look-alike are due back in court May 17 for trial.

The internationally known model was most recently linked to Oscar-winner Sean Penn, and previously dated actor Vin Diesel and singer John Legend.

The Buffalo native was also seeing NFL star Terrell Owens, appearing on his reality program "The T.O. Show." She recently cut a deal for her own show on the Oxygen network.

The Victoria's Secret model was charged in a Oct. 23, 2010, fight with Vanessa Kian over a cab outside the Avenue Lounge on Tenth Ave.

White is accused of punching Kian repeatedly in the face, causing cuts, swelling and "substantial pain," prosecutors said. She's also charged with harassment.

The model had been celebrating her split from Penn before the scuffle, Heller has said. She spent about 12 hours in police custody.

White turned down a deal of two days community service, two days anger management and $446.96 in restitution.

Heller insisted Kian, 28, was the aggressor in the dustup and promised a video of the brawl will clear White. He's also expected to call several witnesses to back up White's version of the taxi throwdown.

"She is going to be completely exonerated at trial," Heller said. "She is innocent."

Christina Aguilera Steps Out for "The Voice"

Trying to brush off her shaky recent past, Christina Aguilera was helping to boost interest in her new gig by attending NBC's press conference for "The Voice" in Los Angeles, California.

With the event taking place at the L.A. Center Studios on Tuesday (March 15), the "Burlesque" star brightened things up in a colorful red frock as she joined up with Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and host Carson Daly.

With Aguilera taking on the duties of a singing coach, she told press of the gig, ?There is no good and bad. This isn?t about tearing people down. I want to bring these people up. The Voice really does stand for what it says."

Christina added, ?You can judge people based on the way they look. I love that fact we get to sit here with our backs turned away from these people and completely use just one sense to hear these voices. I?m not looking for vocal acrobatics, who has biggest range high and low. I?m looking forward to getting moved."

London Versus Silicon Valley By Tech Entrepreneur Liz Rice

Liz_StanfordFootballThis is a guest post by Entrepreneur Liz Rice, Vice President of Thrutu. A London native, she is now based in Palo Alto.

It?s not hard to see why people like California ? perfect weather, oceans and mountains easily accessible, and a multi-cultural melting pot that means every type of cuisine is available practically around the corner. But why is it so attractive to build a start-up here?

I?ve had the pleasure and privilege of living and working in Palo Alto, building and launching a brand new product ? a mobile app called Thrutu, that makes it really easy to share photos, locations, contacts and more while you?re talking on the phone ? here in the heart of Silicon Valley. As a veteran of a few successful (and not-so-successful!) start-ups in the UK, it?s interesting to compare the two cultures and business environments.

Seriously, the weather makes a difference. Doesn?t everyone feel more optimistic and energetic when they wake up in the morning to sunshine and blue skies?

It seems that everyone here is an entrepreneur. I joined a running club, and found that half the members have a day job, but also have a start-up project that they work on at evenings and weekends. The UK has an amazing music scene because every other kid is recording their own stuff in their bedroom; in Palo Alto everyone?s spending their spare time hacking some new social network variant.

Downtown Palo Alto is full of nice cafés and restaurants, punctuated by start-up offices. It?s pretty exciting to walk around and see names of companies you?ve heard of ? either because they?re well-known, or because you just read about them in Gizmodo or Techcrunch. It makes start-ups seem a lot more real, and you feel like you?re part of a community. Even in Silicon Roundabout things are much more spread out (and often more anonymous).

Even if they aren?t within walking distance, you?d be hard pushed to name an internet company, that doesn?t have an office within an hour?s travel of where I?m sitting now. That makes it a lot easier to co-ordinate meetings, which could well be a factor in why things seem to happen faster around here.

Over the last few years a vibrant start-up scene has definitely developed in London ? you can go to some sort of networking event every day of the working week, and it?s improving all the time. But the community is still pretty small in London, and while it?s nice to see friendly faces, some events do feel more like cliques. In Silicon Valley there don?t actually seem to be so many broad, open-invitation start-up events ? they tend to be a lot more specialized and focussed.

For a few months our team incubated at Sequoia?s offices on Sand Hill Road. It?s an amazing place to hang out ? the investment certificates on the wall in reception pretty much document the entire history of global technology and internet businesses, and you can find yourself bumping into any number of seriously interesting people. For an embryonic business, incubating at a VC gives you easy access to incredibly useful advice from really experienced people ? and a lot of useful introductions.

People talk about the Valley as if there is a glut of amazing engineers looking for work, but that hasn?t been our experience. We have been surprised how hard it is to recruit really talented people here, presumably because demand is so high. The really difficult thing, though, is parsing people?s resumés ? we have seen numerous folks who have had incredibly impressive-sounding roles on wildly exciting products, but in person turn out to be barely able to string together a coherent sentence / line of code. However, people are more willing to take a gamble with their careers. In the UK I?m sure that more people worry that their parents might disapprove if they joined a start-up rather than a nice, steady job.

I?ve seen several talented people get snapped up as Entrepreneurs In Residence by VC companies as soon as they became available from a previous role.

I?m sure that EIRs exist in Europe, but seems that the VCs here are more willing to invest in an individual, even if they don?t yet have a product or business plan, simply based on their track record.

Obviously this gives the entrepreneur time and space to work up an idea without worrying how to put food on the table, but the interest from a VC also makes it easier to recruit people to the team early.

Based on the small sample of my experience, it feels like there are no more women in leadership roles here than there are in Europe. Apologies to anyone I?ve forgotten, but I think I?ve met one female tech start-up founder, out of dozens, and any women in senior positions have been in marketing or design. So far, we have had a roughly similar proportion of women applying for our technical job openings as we do in the UK.

It?s a lot easier to arrive at work in the morning with a positive attitude if you don?t have to travel by Tube! That said, I?m fortunate enough to walk to work here, and maybe I?d feel different if I had to spend time on 101 every day?

Could we recreate Silicon Valley in Europe? We have universities every bit as demanding and effective as Stanford. We have a growing community of investors, and ever-increasing numbers of meetups, hackathons and start-up hub initiatives. We have the weather in places, the proximity to other businesses in others. The challenge is that all these factors aren?t co-located as they are here. Now, if we could just devise a way to get more sunshine in London?

The Bachelor's Brad Womack and Emily Maynard: Will They Last?

If nothing else, The Bachelor season finale was certainly a memorable one. As is often the case, the After the Final Rose special provided many of the fireworks.

Just minutes after Brad Womack's swoon-worthy proposal to Emily Maynard, viewers learned about his terrible temper - and that they briefly parted ways.

They're back together now, but Brad "couldn't speak for Emily" when Chris asked if they're still engaged. Never a good sign. She's also NOT moving to Texas.

Here's the awkward ATFR interview that aired post-finale:

Meet Chantal O'Brien's new man: Jeff Razore

Chantal O'Brien ditched 'Bachelor' Brad Womack for Jeff Razore (inset), a marketing consultant in Washington.

Chantal O'Brien may have been jilted by "Bachelor" Brad Womack, but Jeff Razore reportedly picked up the pieces.

On "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose" Monday night, the 28-year-old executive assistant revealed she met someone when she returned home after Womack broke her heart on the ABC competition series.

That man is fellow Washington native Razore, who hails from Seattle, she has confirmed.

"I think because of my [Bachelor] experience, it's allowed me to be where I am now and be in a relationship," she told people.com.

O'Brien turned down a gig on the next "Bachelorette" -- which eventually wen to Ashley Hebert -- because of her relationship with Razore, Reality Steve reported.

A marketing consultant at the money management firm Evergreen Capital, Razore's job profile reveals he works in Relationship Management. He got his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and founded a youth basketball team.

Razore is reportedly the son of the Rabanco Ltd. owners, one of the largest waste disposal and collection companies in the U.S. before it was sold to Allied Waste in 1998.

O'Brien herself is the daughter of Mike O'Brien, the owner of the O'Brien Auto Group Chain, where she works.

This is reportedly not the first time O'Brien's relationship has gotten in the way of her reality show aspirations. Rumor has it that she tried to reunite with ex-husband Jason Vena, the former lead singer of the band Acceptance, right before she filmed the "The Bachelor."

Dr. Conrad Murray
Lawyers for Dr. Murray will go to court Wednesday and ask a judge to order authorities to turn over all of the surveillance videos.

Sources connected to Murray tell TMZ ... the only video the LAPD turned over was from around 12:30 AM the day MJ died ... showing Michael returning to the house after his rehearsal.

Sources connected with Murray claim the cops only downloaded 11 minutes of the video.  Murray's lawyers want to see all 24 hours ... particularly who comes in and out of the house in the hours before MJ died.

Photos: Emma Watson Stuns as the New Face of Lancome

Emma Watson LancomeIt's all work (and definitely some play) as Emma Watson was spotted in Paris, France this week shooting her first ad campaign for Lancome

The 20-year-old "Harry Potter" star confirmed on Twitter that she was the new face of the French beauty house. "It stars with an L and ends with an E," Watson wrote on Monday. "I'm sure you have guessed the new face of Lancome is me!"

And now these new images courtesy of Fame Pictures show that she's taking her job seriously.

Dressed in a black biker jacket, peach chiffon strapless dress, and peep-toe booties, Watson lit up the streets with her good looks as fashion photographer Mario Testino captured it all.

And we love how she mixed edgy with girly, wearing her cropped brown 'do slick back, bold brows, matte red lips and black nail polish.

There's no word yet on whether the photo shoot was for Lancome makeup or fragrance, but whatever beauty product the hot young star is fronting, she's owning it!
